Top 5 skills you'll nail as a Student Ambassador

05 Dec 2022
Our Student Ambassador Program is one epic way to be an advocate for mental health in your school.

Student Ambassadors are the ones pushing their school mates and teachers to smash out 3,144 push-ups for The Push-Up Challenge in June 2023 and helping lead the push for better mental health.

Read on for the top 5 skills you'll be nailing when you join us as a Student Ambassador.
1. Communication
There's lots to talk about as a Student Ambassador. A little chit chat goes a long way.

"I learnt how to communicate ideas clearly. As I was a student ambassador with another person in my school, we both had to work together and communicate more to ensure that the visions we had were going to be executed."

2. Organisation
Organising your school takes some skills. We'll help you get there with all the resources you need.

"I learned valuable skills from both the challenge  and from being an ambassador. I developed further my organisation and punctuality skills."
3. Public Speaking
What better way to stretch your public speaking skills than sharing with your school.

"I was able to chat with teachers and students about mental health, and was approached to discuss the challenge. I talked at assemblies and ran activities in my role."

4. Leadership
Leading your school in the push for better mental health is a pretty big deal.

"Getting to lead my school through something new and exciting was a real highlight. I loved getting to share with others the importance of mental health. It was great to see students get excited and interact with each other because of the challenge."

5. Support
We'll give you mental health awareness training so you can build your skills to check in on friends and family.

"I gained skills in how to better support those around me who may be going through a hard time with their mental health."
