About My Challenge, My Friend Charlie passed almost 4 years ago now at the end of March 2021. We were friends as little kids, and grew up together. We were tied at the hip for most parts of our lives and even lived together for a short while as young adults.
All the while leaning on one another, facing countless challenges and coping daily, with mental health issues, through escape and addiction.
All proceeds help the Canadian Mental Health Association to support mental illness recovery and foster positive mental health in Canada.
The proceeds from my fundraiser will go to the CHMA services for the kootenay boundry which is where I currently call home. I have created a communit of support and I believe together we can do our small part to raise awareness around mental health. And to try and help those in need with however small the gesture may be.
I will always embody the fun loving childlike free spirit Charlie had and the exploration of all things to appreciate the beauty in simplicity.
