PTSD Survivor Giving Back to Help Others
I was a police officer for 46 years and very early in my career, 23 years old, I became a forensic detective. At the time it was an exciting challenging specialty butthe horrors I witnessed negatively impacted everything in my life. I suffered severe chronic undiagnosed PTSD from 1978 to 2018, yes 40 years! I just completed over six years of psychological counselling and I have survived and live a joyful happy life now!
I'm completing 2,000 push-ups in 18 days to raise awareness and funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association, push my physical fitness goals and in memory of my Mom, Colleen Schottlander, who lovingly supported me so impactfully.
Please support me as I #pushforbetter from February 11-28.
All proceeds help the Canadian Mental Health Association in Niagara to support mental illness recovery and foster positive mental health in Canada.
Thanks
Schotts
