2000 Push-Ups in 18 Days: A Personal Challenge to Support LGBTQIA+ Youth and Mental Health

Hey Friends!

I’m taking on a challenge that’s both physical and deeply personal: 2000 push-ups in 18 days. It’s not just about the push-ups—it’s about raising awareness and funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), a cause that’s close to my heart.

Mental illness has been a part of my journey since I was a teenager. Like many, I’ve faced my own battles—sometimes feeling isolated, misunderstood, or overwhelmed by the weight of it all. But one of the things I’ve learned along the way is that mental health struggles are not something we need to face alone. It’s crucial to have support, resources, and people who understand, especially for those who often feel pushed to the margins.

This challenge is dedicated to all LGBTQIA+ youth who are struggling with mental illness. I know how difficult it can be to navigate the world when you feel different or when the weight of societal expectations feels unbearable. Mental health issues can be especially complicated for LGBTQIA+ youth, who face unique challenges related to identity, acceptance, and discrimination. It’s my hope that by sharing my journey and raising funds for the CMHA, I can contribute in some small way to making sure that no one has to face those struggles alone.

Every push-up I complete brings me one step closer to reaching my goal, but I can’t do it alone. If you’re able, I encourage you to support the cause by donating to my fundraising page. Every dollar helps, and every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.

If you’re not in a position to donate, sharing this post or spreading the word is just as impactful. Raising awareness is a key part of this challenge, and I want as many people as possible to know that mental health support is out there.
