Be a good sport
Sign your sports club up for an unforgettable mental health and fitness event.
The Push-Up Challenge is a unique, fun way for sports clubs of all sizes to encourage better mental health and wellbeing through connection, physical activity and education.
Prioritising not only the physical but mental health of your members will be one of the best things you can do for your club this year.
"research shows that participation in sports helps to improve mental health through social connection, increased resilience, confidence, and self-esteem."
Next steps
1. Register your sports club and we’ll email you all the info you need.
2. Ensure your sports club crew download the Push for Better app.
3. Start pushing on February 1, 2024!
The Challenge
You and your sports club will be challenged to complete 2,000 push-ups over 23 days in February as we put a spotlight on the 20% of Canadians who experience mental illness each year.
We know - that's a lot of push-ups. But don't sweat, alternative exercises are welcome (think sit-ups, squats or jumping jacks), plus you can aim for a portion of the push-up target instead.
