Why I’m Doing the Push Up Challenge
Mental health is a cause that’s deeply personal to me. I lost my stepdad to suicide, a devastating experience that forever changed my perspective on the importance of mental health care and support. Beyond that, I live with anxiety and depression myself, which gives me firsthand insight into the struggles so many face every day.
This is why I’m taking on the push-up challenge to raise money for the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) East Central Region. Their work supports individuals in our community who are battling mental health issues, offering hope, resources, and a sense of connection.
I’ve seen and experienced the incredible power of community and support. When people come together, they can lift each other up in ways that truly make a difference. That’s why I’m passionate about being part of a positive change. Mental health matters—not just for those who struggle but for everyone, because a strong, supportive community benefits us all.
Through this challenge, I hope to raise awareness and funds that will help CMHA continue its vital work. Every push-up I do is a reminder of the strength it takes to face mental health challenges—and a call to action for others to join me in supporting this important cause.
