In February, our team participates to the push up challenge. We challenge our gym and community to do as many push ups as possible between February 11 and February 28 to raise awareness to mental health issues in Canada but especially in First Nations communities.
Who are we?
Indigenous-owned health and fitness center
Kanehsatake Community Fitness is co-owned by two loving individuals who have their local and extended community’s health at heart. You shouldn’t be surprised to see Julie & Matt joining in on the same classes you do, because at KCF we practice what we preach.
Situated in the Mohawk lands of Kanehsatake, the gym was opened and operates to help better the local and extended community. The health and well-being of Indigenous communities often being overlooked, Kanehsatake Community Fitness hopes to help our neighbours, indigenous or not, live longer, healthier lives.
